Editorial Policy
Climatorial is committed to independent, accurate, fair and evidence-based journalism.
Our reporting is guided by public interest, journalistic ethics and respect for the people and communities we cover.
Accuracy
We verify facts, documents, data and claims wherever possible. We seek responses from relevant individuals, organisations and authorities before publication, particularly when allegations or criticism are involved.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made independently of political parties, governments, corporations, advertisers, donors and other external interests. Financial or institutional support does not determine our editorial coverage.
Fairness
We distinguish clearly between verified facts, analysis, allegations and opinion. We provide relevant parties a reasonable opportunity to respond and avoid deliberately misleading or sensationalising our reporting.
Sources
We identify sources where appropriate and protect confidential sources when necessary. Scientific research, official documents, datasets and expert opinions are attributed clearly.
Corrections & Updates
We take accuracy seriously. If a reader, source or organisation identifies a factual error, they can contact the editorial team with the story link, specific error and supporting information.
All correction requests are reviewed by the editorial team. Where we establish that a published report contains a factual error, we will correct it promptly and transparently.
-
Minor errors, such as spelling, grammar or non-material factual mistakes, may be corrected directly.
-
Material factual errors that affect the meaning or understanding of a story will be corrected with a clear Correction/Updated note on the published article.
-
If new information substantially changes a story, we may update the article and explain the nature of the change.
-
We will not silently alter material facts in a way that could mislead readers about what was originally published.
-
Corrections will not be made simply because an individual or organisation disagrees with our reporting, provided the underlying facts have been accurately and fairly reported.
Where appropriate, the original publication date and significant update information will remain visible.

Human Dignity
We report sensitively on vulnerable communities, children, survivors and people affected by disasters, conflict, displacement or environmental harm. We avoid unnecessary exposure, stereotypes and sensationalism.
Visuals & Data
We strive to accurately represent photographs, videos, graphics and data. Altered or illustrative visuals will be identified appropriately.
Conflicts of Interest
Journalists and contributors should disclose relevant personal, professional or financial interests that could affect—or reasonably appear to affect—their reporting.
Accountability
Readers are encouraged to question, challenge and flag errors in our journalism. We review credible concerns fairly and independently.
Our commitment is simple: report carefully, question responsibly, correct transparently and serve the public interest.
