About Us
Climatorial is an independent environmental and public-interest journalism platform run by a small team of dedicated journalists. Its run by a small team of dedicated environmental journalists who believe that some of the most important stories about our changing world are found beyond the headlines—in communities, forests, rivers, farms, cities and ecosystems where environmental change is already being felt.
Our journalism explores the connections between climate, environment, wildlife, conservation, sustainability, health, gender, policy, law, CSR and human lives.
We combine on-the-ground reporting, scientific evidence, investigative journalism, and human stories to understand not only what is changing, but why, who is affected, who is responsible, and what can be done.
Our Mission
Our mission is to produce independent, evidence-based and public-interest journalism that helps people understand the environmental and social changes shaping their lives and communities.
We aim to bring environmental issues closer to the public by connecting science and policy with real experiences on the ground.
Our Aim
We aim to build a trusted space for journalism that: Reports from the ground, giving communities and affected people a voice. Investigates, examining accountability, governance, corporate practices and environmental failures. Explains, making complex science, policy and legal frameworks accessible. Connects the dots, showing how the environment intersects with health, gender, livelihoods, economics and society. Examines impacts, including outcomes of government policies, conservation programmes, development projects, CSR, and sustainability initiatives. Documents change, from climate impacts and biodiversity loss to emerging environmental challenges. Highlights solutions, recognising community action, innovation, conservation and approaches that can contribute to a more resilient future.
We are a small team, but we believe journalism does not have to be large to be meaningful.
Climatorial is built on curiosity, rigorous reporting and the belief that informed communities are better equipped to understand and shape the future.
